Upcoming April 2024 is a very auspicious time in India as the whole country will be celebrating a festival called Navratri. Nine days in a row special practices and ceremonies are performed in order to uplift the human consciousness and spiritual growth with the grace of a divine Mother Durga. We have chosen these special dates for our pilgrimage so we could be part of this powerful timing and every practice we perform will be blessed.

Every couple of days we will be taking the car to travel about 1-2 hours outside Rishikesh to visit pilgrimage sites:

Shiva and Shakti temples

RISHIKESH

A town located in northern India, at the foothills of the Himalayas. Rishikesh is an important religious centre of Hinduism, named as the YOGA CAPITAL OF THE WORLD due to the abundance of yoga schools. For centuries India’s spiritual masters have gathered here to perform their sadhana (spiritual practice) and attain a state of enlightenment by the holy river Ganga. The land is blessed and purified because of the holy river flowing here. It is said that in deep states of meditation you can still feel the presence and guidance of these ancient masters – we will have the opportunity to meditate on the banks of the Ganga, as well as in the caves of sages like Vasishta.
You will have the opportunity to meet and practice from established teachers in Rishikesh and perhaps even meet enlightened beings (if you are ready:)

SACRED RIVER GANGA

She is the holiest river in India and considered to be a Goddess. According to the legend she have come from the constellation known as Milky Way to this Earth to give salvation to ancestors and help humanity to cleanse and clear the karma. It is believed that one who has dipped in the Ganga at least one time, he has cleared not only his own sins and karma but also his ancestors.
During our pilgrimage we will have a chance to attend Ganga Aarti and bathe in the river at the secret beach.

SHAKTI

She is the dynamic energy that is responsible for creation, maintenance, and destruction of the universe. It is identified as female energy because shakti is responsible for creation, as mothers are responsible for birth. Without shakti, nothing in this universe would happen; she stimulates Shiva, which is pure consciousness, to create. During this Pilgrimage we will get to know and practice the whole spectrum of Shakti power expressions. Starting with primordial and raw goddess of destruction Kali coming to her loving and nourishing forms as Lakshmi and Sarasvati. Shakti practices consists of yogic practices as well as worshiping by attending fire ceremonies ( yagna) and rituals.

I’ve always wanted to explore India but did not feel quite ready to plan and explore on my own. The women's pilgrimage was a way to do this exploration while engaging with themes of the divine feminine and divine masculine- In addition to the sessions w Prajna, whose embodied and empowering approach I really appreciated, it was great to meet teachers, wise ones, and hosts that were already vetted by Karolina and Prabhat. I especially enjoyed the time spent along the Ganga, and the hike to Triund in Bagsu. Having ‘insider tips’ was so very helpful. I couldn’t imagine a better way to explore India. Thank you Karolina and Prabhat for creating the itinerary and handling all the logistics. It really allowed me to meet the experience in a deeper way.
