We ARE coming back with LIVE classes in 2026! This year the Live challenge will continue for 21 DAYS!

You can start practicing today with all 12 recorded sessions,
and then join us LIVE for guidance, posture corrections, and personal feedback. The date for Live sessions will be announced on 14th January 2026.

It marks Uttarayanam & Makar Sankranti – traditionally considered one of the most auspicious times to begin a new sādhanā. A perfect moment to reset your body, mind, and habits for 2026.

How the Challenge Works

  • Start from the basics – postures, modifications, breathing & safe transitions
  • Gradually build up to 12 rounds by Day 12
  • Continue practicing 6 – 12 rounds daily for the rest of the year
  • Receive live corrections, reminders, motivation & support

Surya Namaskar Challenge 2025 12 DAYS OF SUN SALUTATIONS

Our ancient texts like the Vedas and Upanishads contain numerous verses glorifying and in worship of the Sun. In yoga philosophy, the Sun symbolizes spiritual illumination leading to the knowledge (of who you are). The Sun symbolizes an inner light (knowledge) that allows a spiritual seeker to dispel the illusions created by the false identification with the body and the mind and experience our true nature.

ॐ असतोमा सद्गमय ।
तमसोमा ज्योतिर्गमय ।
मृत्योर्मामृतं गमय ।।
ॐ शान्ति शान्ति शान्तिः ।।

The simple practice of Surya Namaskar exercises the entire body, decreases anxiety, massages internal organs, increases spinal flexibility and only takes a few minutes to practice. During this short period of time the body is exercised in a very systematic and comprehensive manner. If you are not inclined to worship the Sun for its symbolic ideas, then do surya namaskar for the sake of maintaining and inducing good health!

Surya Namaskar is by itself, a powerful yoga practice. It systematically moves the spine, massages the inner organs, balances the endocrine system and balances the energy channels. This results in stability of the body and cleansing of the mind which is the starting point to explore the higher states of consciousness.

The Surya Namaskar Sadhana takes this foundation and increases the potency by more than a hundred times by consciously invoking the secret yogic practices of Mantra, Mudra, Chakra, Bandha and Kumbhaka in the practice of Surya Namaskar.
