Trataka (Flame Gazing) Meditation - Sundays
The word trataka in Sanskrit means to look or to gaze and originates from the Shatkarmas of hatha yoga tradition. This is a practice of concentrating the mind and curbing its oscillating tendencies to arouse ekagrata (one pointed concentration of the mind). Trataka benefits the mind and a whole range of physiological and mental functions. It is therapeutic in depression, insomnia, anxiety, poor concentration and memory. In more subtle context it may allow one to see the reality beyond appearances.
When: Every Sunday
For this practice you will need a candle which you can place at eye level (on a desk or books).
Guided Meditation - Mondays
It is said that no one can teach you meditation – for it is a personal experience and is unique for each individual based on where one is in their journey. However it is possible to learn meditation techniques – Join Prabhat on this Online class to learn and experience meditation techniques. The session will include movement, breathing practice and guided meditation. First timers, beginners and experienced veterans alike can join this practice.
When: Every Monday
Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep Experience) - Wednesdays
Join Prabhat to learn and experience Yoga Nidra, an ancient practice that combines TANTRA & YOGA. Yoga Nidra is a guided passive meditation technique that aims to create a state of consciousness somewhere between waking and sleeping. When properly performed Yoga Nidra induces the deepest possible state of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. By systematically relaxing your body, mind and emotions, Yoga Nidra can help with issues such as stress, anxiety, depression and to explore the subconscious mind. It is increasingly being used to enhance the quality of sleep as a therapy tool. The session will cover: * Warm up Sequence * Breathing practice for activation * Guided Yoga Nidra * Q & A
